HGV/LGV Driver Training
HGV and LGV Training Centre in Lancashire
Our LGV driver training prepares candidates to obtain their large goods vehicles
Category C1, C or CE licence.
The course will enable you to pass the goods vehicle driving test and provide you with the skills and knowledge to become a professional large goods driver.
Our training follows a FREE DRIVING ASSESSMENT so that we get a good idea of how many hours will be required to achieve the test standard.
(It also gives you a chance to come and meet the team)

Category C1
With category C1 you will be eligible to drive a medium goods vehicle with a maximum authorised mass (gross vehicle weight) of up to but not exceeding 7500 kg.

Category C
With Category C Licence you will be eligible to drive an LGV over 3,500kg – there is NO upper weight limit. This vehicle is commonly known as a Rigid, Class 2 or an LGV, and is typically used for making local or national deliveries.

Category CE
With Category CE Licence you will be eligible to drive an LGV with a trailer over 750 kg maximum authorised mass. This vehicle is commonly known as a Arctic combination, Class 1 or an LGV C+E, and is typically used for making national or international deliveries.

Our training vehicles are specially chosen to make the conversion from car to LGV as simple as possible giving you the best possible chance of first time success. All training vehicle are automatics and simplify the learning process (You still gain a manual entitlement)
