Fire Warden

Fire Warden Training

The Fire Warden Training is suitable for all staff, this course increases individuals’ awareness of the dangers of fire and the need to follow company procedures, in turn ensuring they have a practical and theoretical understanding of how to respond during a fire emergency.

  The course specifically covers:

  • Legislation and risk assessments
  • Fire triangle
  • Fire and smoke travel
  • Ignition and fuel sources
  • Escape
  • Human behaviour
  • Fire scenarios
  • Theoretical and practical use of fire extinguishers
  • Fire routines
  • Role of the fire warden
Minimum of 3 delegates / maximum of 10 delegates per course.

Course Location

Customer premises or our training venue at Pendle Business Centre, Nelson, BB9 9BT.

 Certification

Trainees will be issued with a certificate of attendance on completion of the course.

 

Train the Trainer

BASIC DRIVER ASSESSOR (IN-HOUSE ACCREDITATION)

1 Day Training Course

This course is designed to prepare an experienced driver to be an “in house” assessor.  It also
serves to prepare him/her for higher level assessment training if they hold no previous relevant
instructional or assessment qualifications.  The suitable individual should have both a high standard
of personal driving skills and the character and temperament to be a good assessor.

Course Objectives 

To prepare potential driving assessors to deliver short driving assessments for “in-house” driving
assessment purposes.

Course Content 

This course covers:   Highway code, Hazard perception, DVSA driving skills, Skills and manner of
a good assessor, Assessment report writing.
Course ratio –  maximum trainee / instructor is 3:1

Course Location

Customer premises or our training venue at Pendle Business Centre, Nelson, BB9 9BT.
A vehicle may be required as part of the course.

Certification

Trainees will be issued with a certificate of attendance on completion of the course.

BASIC INSTRUCTIONAL TECHNIQUES (IN-HOUSE ACCREDITATION)

 

2 Day Training Course

Course Objectives 

This course gives the candidate basic instructional techniques for classroom delivery in their
specialist area and can be used as an introduction to training for people with no previous
experience. It is appropriate for companies to use these candidates as in-house trainers.  It will
also give the candidate a qualification to deliver some Driver CPC modules on behalf of MEG
Training Solutions Ltd.

Course Content 

Role of the trainer, How people learn, Delivery of presentations, Questioning skills, Training Aids,
Planning and preparation, Listening skills, Training, coaching and briefing, Record keeping.
Minimum of 2 delegates / maximum of 10 delegates per course.
